The Letter Cristyn was born in Wales, where the harp is the national instrument. She was therefore steeped in a wonderful atmosphere of Celtic music and Eisteddfods, and grew an attachment to the harp at a tender age. She began studying the harp at seven years old.

Cristyn studied for her Bachelor of Music Degree in Performance (specialising in the harp) at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and was immediately awarded a scholarship to study for her Masters Degree in Harp Performance at Trinity College of Music in London, under the expert guidance of Imogen Barford and Gabriella Dall’Olio.

Since then, Cristyn has enjoyed a successful and varied freelance career. As a solo harpist, she has given many performances at major London venues including the House of Lords, The British Library, and the IOD Headquarters. Her engagements have included solo and chamber music recitals, performances with countless professional orchestras, touring as the primary musician

with the internationally renowned theatre company, Theatre Alibi, and providing elegant music for most of the major international hotel chains including The Ritz, The Hilton, Claridges and Sofitel. Cristyn was resident harpist 2005-2006 at the exquisite Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire. She has played for the likes of the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord Mayor of London, and many celebrities from the arts and sporting worlds.

Cristyn is a young, talented harpist and the recipient of numerous awards and prizes for her playing, including the Rotary Young Musician of the Year and the Bristol Eisteddfod. In recent years, she has encorporated private tuition into her activities, and her students regularly receive outstandingly high distinction marks in their examinations. In great demand due to her musicality, technical prowess and friendly personality, Cristyn enjoys immense popularity with all of her clients.
